So this is one of those ineresting AI stories that has evolved, and I played a part.
Elon Musk tweeted a screen shot of an interaction with Google’s woke Gemini answering the question of whether or not you should misgender Caitlyn Jenner to stop a holocaust.
Woke Gemini answered that one should NOT misgender Caitlyn Jenner to prevent a nuclear holocaust…

Purportedly, another person on Patriots.win asked ChatGPT a similar question, and – again purportedly – after 1.5 hours of coaxing got it to admit that that may not be the most reasonable option.

To be fair, this one asked about dead naming rather than misgendering, but it SEEMED to weigh the gravity of 15.5 million lives as being… weightier…than deadnaming.
So I asked Grok, the Twitter AI trained on Douglas Adams.
I asked about deadnaming first, and it reponded:
“In my humble opinion, the value of a human life far outweighs the importance of a name…” which I though more or less a stellar answer (other than it being mere opinion, not moral fact…)

I aslo asked about misgendering, and it was a LITTLE more wishy-washy, but still better on the whole:

You heard it here first, folks, misgendering Caitlyn Jenner “might be the lesser of two evils.”
AI is fucked up.
