The Racism Problem We HAVE To Talk About

This is a difficult conversation to have, but it’s time for us to be mature and talk about it.

This will be a rambling brain dump. I’m sorry and you’re welcome.

Let’s start with a non-controversial take:

Now, I believe this, insofar as you accept that you can be “black.” (Aren’t we all really some shade of pink/yellow/brown, really?) but it’s not a hot take.

For some reason this is:

Even if you want to think you’re beyond this, consider whether you’d be comfortable:

  1. Seeing a black person wearing a shirt with the first message, It’s Okay To Be Black
  2. Seeing a white person wearing a shirt with the second message, It’s Okay To Be White
  3. Seeing a black person wearing a shirt with the second message, It’s Okay To Be White
  4. Seeing a white person wearing a shirt with the first message, It’s Okay To Be Black

The only one in that category that would probably cause you consternation is the 2nd one. Right? If you’re white (60% chance you are): would you feel comfortable wearing the latter shirt? Probably not. But you’d also probably not feel that put off by black person wearing the first.

Or consider these phrases:

  1. Black Pride
  2. White Pride

Even if hijacked by a few kooks, the latter phrase ought to be equally “sensible” as a term. But it’s not, and you feel it deep down. Viscerally.

Consider this:

This is Demoralization

It’s how you destroy a civilization.

You keep telling a false narrative (maybe with good intentions – prompting socio-economic change you believe is justified)… but you know what they say is paved by good intentions…

There’s an older comic that more or less makes this point:

Of course, the one thing this leaves out is “black on black” and “white on white” etc. crime stats, but I believe this was specifically from a BoJ stat on Race Vicitimization.

I bring this up because we’re seeing a trend that is problematic – a two-tiered justice system…and a two-tiered EVERYTHING system (2 tiers is a bit of an over-simplification).

Sometimes the bias feels more noticable:

We’re tripping over ourselves to “include” those who may have been excluded in the past, but we’re doing it based on the color of their skin, not the content of their character (or, more importantly, their ability. This leads to situations like this:

Or hot takes like what got Charlie Kirk trending as a racist a few days ago:

The whole point of what he says is that BECAUSE you’re telling me you’re putting race before ability, you’re FORCING me to wonder – when I see someone of a certain demographic – if they’re there because of skill, or because of quota. (Kirk re-clarified this on the next week’s ThoughtCrimes episode…)

And it DOES lead to hot takes like this:

Or general complaints and observations about “DEI” in general.

It is ACTUAL racism to say “Blacks can’t perform as good as _______, so we need to lower the standards.”

It’s the SOFT BIGOTRY of Low Expectations…

“BLACKS” are just people of a skin color, and some of the SMARTEST people in the world are black… see Thomas Sowell below…

All of this is not to say anything about black people or white people as groups.

Trying to group people by race and color and see everything through that lens is just wrong. What we have to look at is individuals…but trends amongst groups do matter (more on that in a minute)

And many people on both sides of the aisle get it. I remember this WONDERFUL exchange by Morgan Freeman years ago:

or this one:

And one of my all favorites is Thomas Sowell, (who has DOZENS of X.com tribute channels that repost his stuff!) and he hits at the point:

All of that said, there is a TREND that is noticible…particularly in inner city areas.

What you’re seeing is URBAN DECAY

And again, it’s not a “black” thing. It’s what happens when you forcefully under-educate people (based on a presumption that they can’t be helped) because you’re a F***** racist. There is literally ZERO reason black kids can’t have more-or-less identical outcomes as white kids etc…

You know…ACTUAL racism:

Although, this isn’t QUITE true.

There is ONE big reason that black children underperform, and it’s a rot at the core of what makes for the best outcomes for children: intact families.

Tucker got in trouble years ago for noticing this:

But again, here’s Thomas Sowell on the topic. LBJ’s Great Society program INCENTIVIZED the breakup of the african american family.

They’v DESTROYED the family – and this hit blacks FIRST:

The Welfare state made them “better off” and they misdiagnosed the cause of things and that led to an exacerbation of the problem, not a solution. This happened across the board:

And all of this is because people don’t understand the difference between equity and equality… Even Bernie Sanders didn’t quite understand the difference:

But guess who DOES understand the difference… Yup.

Moral Of The Story: Read Thomas Sowell

Also, watch him on Youtube. (I’d recommend Rumble, but YT has been around so much longer, and they do have a WONDERFUL (and functionally free) collection of his stuff.)

And don’t be a racist.

Now… have a meme for your time:
