About six months back, Kari Lake made a rather bold claim that people came to her and offered to pay her a fair amount of money if she would simply not run in 2022. She ran and, if the results are to be believed, lost to Katie Hobbs, the then secretary of state who oversaw her own election as governor of Arizona. Of course much like 2020, there was a lot of shenanigans that happened that lead people to believe that Lake, who is leading in all of the polls, actually defeated Hobbes, along with a few other people running on the same ticket like Abe Hamadeh.
Nevertheless, other than her claim there wasn’t a lot to substantiate that people came and offered her a bribe to not run.
That changed today. Jeff DeWitt – 51, Chair of the AZ Republica Party, comes to lake and asks her to stay out of politics for two years. I’m not 100% sure how this all went down but somehow lake managed to get it recorded and it is absolutely damning.
For the same reasons I have fears for president Trump’s life, I also fear for Lake. And she recognizes this as well. The powers that be don’t like guys like Trump or like her who don’t like war and don’t want to expand the power of the oligarchs in charge (which ironically is the claim they keep making about Trump).
